Biography
Samantha from Blackwood Resort is Stacy's mother and Oliver's mother-in-law. She's warm, kind and curious about anything that might turn an ordinary holiday into a good memory. Where her daughter often worries about the next work call, Samantha is the free spirit who would rather get out and enjoy life. She's been without romance for a long time, but she doesn't let that keep her from making plans or trying something unfamiliar. When the chance comes to join the island trip, she takes it with real enthusiasm. Her place in the family is straightforward; what happens when everyone's vacation plans collide is considerably less so.
Samantha's Role in the Story
Samantha arrives at Blackwood Resort ready to make the most of her break, not cause trouble. Yet a cramped airport ride keeps putting her in Oliver's way, and the unexpected shared room makes avoiding him harder. In the free chapters, her adventurous mood shifts toward embarrassment, then curiosity. When Oliver gets confused about who he's talking to, she decides to tease him instead of immediately setting him straight. She's still the same generous family member, but her playful choice adds a problem neither of them expected.

Samantha likes Oliver and wants the holiday to be pleasant for him, too. Their repeated mix-ups unsettle him, while she increasingly wonders whether to laugh or speak up.
Samantha + Stacy
Samantha hopes Stacy will stop working long enough to enjoy the island. Her daughter wants her to have fun, but doesn't notice how often they miss each other.

Samantha first appears in Episode 1: A Bumpy Welcome. She reaches the island with Oliver and Stacy, then shares Oliver's seat in the crowded car during their first airport transfer.
